In addition to our meats, we sell organic produce, Hidden Waters Honey, and a selection of other farm products. Farming the Way our Ancestors Farmed Hidden Waters Farm was established in 1915, principally as a sheep farm and orchard. The farm operated within the principles of traditional farming, with a mix of crops, animals, and plantings that all worked together in a naturalistic way. As with many farms, "modern" agricultural practices were adopted after WWII, with the reliance on herbicides, pesticides, tillage, and single crop planting to chase greater yields. Since acquiring the property, Tom and Joe have returned to "farming the way our ancestors farmed", passionately pursuing an approach that respects the animals and respects nature. CATTLEOur cows are raised on pasture and rotated daily to ensure we’re taking care of them and the land. They’re never fed with grains, growth hormones, given antibiotics, or grazed on artificial pesticides. They graze as they do in nature, as they are intended! In turn, this creates the highest quality, most nutrition packed beef for you and your family to enjoy. HOGSOur pigs are raised happy, healthy, and unconfined, with plenty of room to roam and access to sun and fresh air. Our heritage breed Berkshire pork, come from happy pigs in a natural habitat where they can forage. This directly impacts the quality (both flavor and nutrition) of the pork they produce. Non-GMO and Soy Free POULTRYWe raise our chickens according to the strictest production standards. They’re treated humanely (dare we say pampered?) with open space and plenty of bugs and grass for foraging. You can taste the difference in quality! Non-GMO and Soy Free have a darker fat making for delicious culinary experience. Promotions, new products and sales. Directly to your inbox.
