What makes Appleberry Farm special? We love what we do, and we love seeing friends and families enjoying the orchard together. Nothing beats a beautiful Wisconsin day spent outdoors, and our farm is a scenic, authentic, natural place to relax and eat delicious food grown on site. We feel lucky to be able to pick fruit directly off the apple trees or from the berry bushes when they are at peak flavor. You will taste the difference between fresh, local fruit versus that which has traveled long distances to reach you. Our fruit carries unique qualities due to the terroir of our Driftless Area farm, and we can’t wait for you to enjoy them! Thank you for supporting this local family farm since 1975. This support passes on through the community. We source our farm store products from other local food makers and artisans. Integrated Pest Management is a fancy term but a simple philosophy. Only spray to protect against MAJOR crop damage. We try hard to keep everything in balance, (good bugs eat bad bugs) and we don’t worry about small imperfections. We value most, the ability to eat safely what you pick. So there may be a few more spots, and certainly more weeds, but we like that our kids can enjoy a bite as they pick. Fewer folks grew up on a farm or even have a relative who is a farmer, so we feel it’s important to know how your food is grown. Come out to the farm and learn about the bees and how we work with Mother Nature to raise fresh fruits & veggies. Hear a story about an heirloom apple or how we make the best tasting cider, or why there aren’t many blueberries in Wisconsin. It’s great to see a cool pic on your phone or laptop, but come on out to the farm and smell the fresh air, feel the warm sunshine, and taste incredible fruit you pick yourself. We are a real farm, not an amusement park.
