1st Generation Family-Owned Business We are the Babac family, join us on ourjourney of self-sufficient homesteading, ranching andfarmingwith our herd of black angus cattle, a brood of laying hens, and thousands of heirloom seeds. We are looking forward to sharing the bounty with you. Amidst the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic with food & supply shortages and never-ending lockdown we decided to set a new course for the best interest of our growing family and future generations. Becoming more self-sufficient by building an ark of safety was the answer. Blessed to have our offer accepted on a 35-acre homestead in Independence County Arkansas, we went right to work building fences, planters, and barns to fill with livestock. Independence Ark Farm was born - you can say the rest is unwritten history. Our farm-to-table distribution channel is designed to serve our family, friends and community directly. We believe it is important to practice food source diversity and ease the demand on our current food supply chaindependenton mega-grocers. Iencourage you to help buildfoodresilience by supporting local foodsystems, such as ours. 100% ORGANIC, FREE RANGE & GMO FREE EGGS Fresh eggs are available at the farm daily for pickup. Alleggs are fertilized if you want some for yourownbrooder. Our hens are a mix of heritage and endangered breeds: Delaware, Buff Orpington, Pearl White Leghorn and Whiting True Blue. This mix will gives us a variety of egg colors including green and blue. Our Delaware and Buff Orpingtonare considered good dual purpose breeds, which means both good egg-layers and meat birds.
