At Sunny Pastures Dairy, milk doesn’t come from a factory — it comes from a family. It all started with this gal right here.. Marsha, our first family cow. Our day starts before sunrise when the barn lights come on and the girls begin to stir. They are usually waiting for Adam to let them in to begin milking. At Sunny Pastures, we only milk once a day, in the morning. Every morning, rain, shine, ice, snow… Adam milks his “babies”, feeds the calves, checks their water, puts out their hay, and cares for the animals that help feed not only our own children, but yours too. After morning chores, milk is cooled and bottled right here on the farm before being prepared for weekly herdshare deliveries. The rest of the day is filled with homeschool lessons, church activities, fixing fences, maintaining equipment, and whatever else farm life brings — because caring for your cow is a daily responsibility we take seriously. Through our herdshare program, your family owns a share in one of our Jersey cows. We provide the daily care — feeding, milking, and housing — and in return, you receive the milk she produces each week. Marketing and Brand Development Have some questions?
