The Snellville Farmers’ Market is administered by a group of very dedicated local residents, many of whom volunteer their time and talents to bring the market to the city. The market operates without any funding from the city. The city does, however, allow the market to operate on the Towne Green, a prime location in front of City Hall where the market has outstanding exposure to traffic on US 78 and Oak Road. The mission of the Snellville Farmers’ Market is: To “Nourish Our Community” by providing fresh, local and seasonal produce and encouraging community pride. The2024 Snellville Farmers Market Recipe Challengewas a fantastic success, bringing together local culinary talent and fresh ingredients to celebrate the vibrant flavors of our community. Participants showcased their creativity, crafting unique and delicious recipes featuring produce and goods from the market. After much deliberation, our panel of judges selected the top winners, each dish impressive with its originality, taste, and use of locally sourced ingredients. The event not only highlighted the importance of supporting local farmers but also inspired new ways to enjoy the bounty of Snellville’s seasonal harvests.
