Our Story
Al and Kathy Hildreth started Shamrock's Buzzy Bee in 2008 with two bee hives, expanding to 10 hives in 2009 and 25 hives by 2013. They added beekeeping equipment in July 2016. They keep their bees using a natural method, checking them every two weeks and treating for mites only as needed, not on a fixed schedule. They place their bees on smaller farms with farmers who pay extra attention to pest control, benefiting from pollination while the bees collect nectar from wildflowers throughout Johnston County, NC.
