Pleasant Valley Farm continues to raise a variety of heritage breed livestock. We are a small hatchery and offer live heritage breed chicks, turkey poults, ducklings, and peachicks for those interested in starting their own flock. More information is available on our website, and must be picked up as we do not ship. Hatching season runs March-June yearly. We also have occasional sales of pedigreed Silver Fox rabbits, PDCA registered Dexter cattle, and Katahdin sheep.
Dan Stevenson moved to Pleasant Valley Farm in 1990 with his family, transitioning it from a Jersey cow dairy to a diversified farm selling produce and raising meat animals. Emily Stevenson joined the farm after marrying Dan, becoming a full-time farmer and developing new varieties of jams, salsas, and other homemade goods. She is passionate about educating the public on local, organic food, family farms, and heritage livestock and heirloom plants. The farm uses work horses for field preparation and natural fertilization, and Dan is a blacksmith creating metal items on the farm using traditional methods. Emily also creates natural body care products and various handmade items. They are proud members of several organizations, though the specific organizations are not listed on the provided content. The farm emphasizes chemical-free practices in their gardens and raising animals outdoors on fresh grass without antibiotics or hormones. They also offer live heritage breed chicks, turkey poults, ducklings, and peachicks. The farm is located in Tionesta, PA, and can be contacted via email, Facebook, and Instagram. They use heirloom varieties for their produce whenever possible. The farm also offers fun items like peacock feathers and jewelry made from feathers. They also offer custom blacksmithing items. The farm's products are homemade and contain no artificial preservatives or colorants. They also offer flavored coffees and teas, with flavors and origins changing with the seasons. The farm also offers felted soaps made with locally-sourced fibers. The farm's onli
