Needle-Lane Farms

Needle-Lane Farms was started in 2003 with the goal of providing the best fresh produce to our local community. We have been offering internships since 2005, teaching about small-scale sustainable farming and changing lives through food, farming, and health. The farm prides itself on a highly diverse 70 acre ecosystem with native plantings, bee hives, livestock, mushroom logs, fruit and nut trees, berries, and Christmas trees all growing. The farm's practices have always been sustainable and followed the National Organic Plan (NOP), even going beyond these standards with a commitment to growing without sprays. They raise 200+ varieties of annual and perennial flowers, vegetables, herbs, and trees on 5 acres with 3 heated greenhouses and 7 unheated hoophouses. They are now accepting CSA members and custom grown plant orders for the 2022 season. They also offer Flexible CSA and Gift Card options. They have an online store. They offer wholesale to retail stores, restaurants, buying clubs, schools, and home canners. They work with Arbor Farms Market, Peoples Food Co-op, Promedica Veggie Mobile, and Acorn Market. They offer internships since 2005, full or part time with a minimum stay of 3 months. Teaching is mostly hands-on experience, with some "classroom" time, and field trips. They have a newsletter. Winter hours are by appointment. Pickup locations for CSA are at Needle-Lane Farms on Tuesday 12-5:30pm, Friday 12-5:30pm, and Saturday 9am to 2pm, and at Theresa's House in Manchester, MI on Thursday after 12pm. They accept payment by check, credit/debit card via online store (Square), and PayPal via friends and family. They have a photo gallery. They raise pigs.
