Natural Excellence Farm & Gardens Orwell, Ohio Rosemary and John Taipale are pleased to offer premium quality farm produce to our discerning Farmers Market Shoppers, and Visitors to our farm. We choose many heirloom varieties of vegetables and base our selections totally upon those with the best flavor. We obtain our seed from sources that have taken the “No GMO Pledge” because we believe that genetic engineering is unnecessary and dangerous. New to us as of last year (2012) is our commitment to producing ‘NUTRIENT DENSE’ fruits and vegetables. We accomplish this by re-mineralization of our soils using naturally occurring rock powders and trace elements. This re- application of minerals has not been done since the last ice pack melted ten thousand years ago. Soil is a living community that needs balance to exist in healthy, symbiotic relation to plant root systems. Healthy soils, healthy plants, healthy fruits and vegetables. We expect to see measurable health benefits to those who add Nutrient Dense produce to their diets. We have been long time members of OEFFA and follow organic practices as we strive to adhere to these principles. We use no herbicides, no pesticides, and no chemical fertilizers.
