Every year we employ one full-time intern from April to October. Our employee is involved in every aspect of our farm, including doing a market on their own. This is a paid position advertised on the ATTRA website.
Ben and Heather first met in 2012 and bonded over healthy food. Heather, with a Ph.D. in plant ecology, started baking bread, while Ben gained farming experience through WWOOF and Waterpenny Farm. They built Little Hat Creek Farm, initially a vegetable farm and wood-fired bakery, but in 2025, they closed the bakery to focus on growing vegetables and garden starts for their community, aiming to drive change in the regional food system.
