Our eggs come from happy, healthy hens that are pasture raised, able to roam for grass and bugs. We are not certified organic, but our hens are fed certified non-GMO USDA organic food, with only collected rainwater to wash down all that goodness! We never use pesticides, antibiotics or hormones. These non-graded, beautiful eggs are as pure and natural as any egg you can get — the yolks are a darker yellow due to our hens having full access to sunshine, and the texture is more creamy and buttery. In March 2024, Chicken Town Egg Farm became part of the Brent Floating Farms family and moved to Paragould, Arkansas. Frank ('Chicken Daddy') has had poultry most of his life and is fond of game birds including pheasant and quail — he previously bred his own unique variety of quail that dress out at just over 1 lb of all-white meat. Cinda has 30 years experience pampering poultry and used to be known for her Blue Jersey Giant chickens. Livestock guardian dogs serve as the farm's biosecurity system. Originally founded in 2020 by Chris and Jennifer Morris during the pandemic, the farm started with 48 chickens and 7 guineas, growing to 100+ laying hens. Find our eggs at grocery stores across Memphis, Jonesboro, and Arkansas — including Cordelia's Market, High Point Grocery, South Point Grocery, Mad Grocer & Deli, Edwards Food Giant, Hays Supermarkets, and local farmers markets.
Founded in 2020 by Chris and Jennifer Morris, Chicken Town Egg Farm started from a desire to relive childhood memories of having chickens during the COVID-19 quarantine. They researched pasture-raised organic methods and began with 48 chickens and 7 guineas, eventually expanding to sell their surplus eggs locally. In March 2024, Chicken Town Egg Farm became part of the Brent Floating Farms family of companies, bringing in new expertise and a vision for future growth beyond just chickens, including aquaponics and controlled environment agriculture. The name "Chicken Town" was inspired by their granddaughters' imaginative play.
