Argus Farm Stop has a close relationship with the farmers we work with. We know our farmers, and we visit their farms. Our goal is to provide a robust all-local shopping experience. We have an extensive team of local producers, as listed below under their categories. Argus Farm Stop sells produce for a wide variety of farms in our local area. We know our farmers, and visit their farms. They deliver in person to our store, so often customers can ask questions of them directly. Growing practices are a constant topic of conversation here, as our customers want to learn more about what they are consuming. We offer products from many farms using natural, organic or certified organic growing practices, because this is what our customers request. Our signage tells you the growing practices of each farm, and our staff can give you details on any of our local farms. Several of the farms that we sell for are using more conventional practices and this is always clearly specified on signage. We are able to offer produce (and seeds and plant starts, in season) featuring Ark of Taste products, which focus on the taste qualities of the produce, not shipping or storage features. Ann Arbor is host to not one, but TWO seed companies growing Ark of Taste seeds and seedlings. https://slowfoodusa.org/ark-of-taste/ Michelle Monroe from Monroe Family Organics delivering greens with a smile Adsit Organics, Plymouth, MIBirch Hill FarmBlue Spring Farm, Ann Arbor, MIBoring Farms, Stockbridge, MICarpenter’s Greenhouse, Allen, MIDirt Poor Farms, Deckerville, MIGarden Fort, Dexter, MIGarden Works, Ann Arbor, MIGateway Farm, Plymouth, MIGoetz Family Farm, Riga, MIGreen Things Collective, Ann Arbor, MIHarris Blueberries, Bloomingdale, MIHindsight Farm, Ann Arbor, MIJacob’s Fresh Farm, Dexter, MIJoyful Harvest Organics, Blanchard, MIKapnicks Orchards, Britton, MIKnerrs Orchard, Petersburg, MIMichigan Cranberry Company, Marlette, MIMonroe Family Organics, Alma, MINature and Nurture, Dexter, MINOKA Homestead, Chelsea, MINorman Holtz Farm, Ida, MIPine Ridge Organics, Homer, MIProchaska Farm, Tecumseh, MIRadicle Roots, Ann Arbor, MISecond Spring Farm, Cedar, MISeeley Farm, Ann Arbor, MISell Farms & Greenhouse, Ypsilanti, MISeva Farms, Dexter, MISteinhauser Farms, Ann Arbor, MISunnyside Organics & Produce, Homer, MITantré Farm, Chelsea, MITAZ Urban Farm, Ann Arbor, MIThe Farm On Jennings, Ann Arbor, MITouchstone Living Microgreens, Ann Arbor, MIUM Campus Farm, Ann Arbor, MIVibrant Acres Farm, South Lyon, MIVictory Farms, Hudsonville, MIWe The People Opportunity Farm, Ypsilanti, MIWolfe Orchards, Tipton, MI When you shop at argus you are supporting local, small farms.
