Welcome to Bair-Trax Dairy, located in Troy, OH. We are David and Annette Bair and are the 3rd generation to farm this land. We strive to grow healthy food through healthy soils. We manage grass to provide for the nutritional needs of our animals and to sustain and add to a healthy environment. We believe that healthy soils, mean healthy animals and healthy food. We find joy in the the great diversity of wildlife on our farm, that has grown as we've committed to regenerative, organic farming. There's nothing better than being out in the pasture listening to the cows being cows and the chickens being chickens...enjoying the sunshine and green grass. Just as God intended. We began grazing in 2001 and switched to Certified Organic in 2011. As we continue on this journey we have seen the restoration of the land, we have seen healthier animals and a happier and healthier family! Our son Michael runs the meat chicken side of the farm. He started raising chickens as a freshman in high school as his FFA project. The name Bair-Trax certainly has a history to it. In 1853 a portion of the current farm was deeded to the railroad and Grayson Station was built. Grayson Station was a train stop until sometime in the 1940s. It was used to transport passengers into Troy and as far as Indianapolis. Cattle were loaded on the trains there and some of the cement corner posts from the cattle holding pens are still standing. The railroad continued to use the tracks until the last train passed through in 1976. To incorporate the history of the railroad we chose the name Bair-Trax. HOMEABOUTPRODUCTSFAQsRECIPESCONTACTSHOP
