Welcome to Arnold's Farm! We are a fourth and fifth-generation family farm located in the beautiful hills and valleys of Jo Daviess County in northwestern Illinois. We raise all-grass-fed beef, grain-fed beef, heritage breed hogs, and all their feed. Our livelihood centers around selling meat from these animals directly to consumers through this website and nearby retail outlets. Arnold's Farm specializes in the production of grass and grain-fed beef and heritage breed hogs. We also offer pastured chicken raised by a partnering farm family. We strive to raise our animals in harmony with the natural environment and use systems that need few commercial inputs, such as rotational grazing for livestock and crop rotations for the fields. We bring our meat products to you just the way we would want to enjoy them ourselves: chemical, antibiotic, and preservative-free, pure and wholesome yet tender with good texture and excellent flavor. Our livestock receive no antibiotics, growth hormones, or animal by-products. All animals have free access to the outdoors, and except for our all-Grass Fed Beef, their diets include non-GMO corn, hay, and pasture grown on the farm. Additionally, we actively manage 160 acres of timber for lumber production, watershed protection, and wildlife habitat. Over 7000 hardwood and coniferous trees have been planted to date. Other practices employed are crop rotations, rotational grazing, streambank stabilization, and living windbreaks. We strive to be good stewards of our land and animals and look forward to passing these resources and values to the next generation.
