The Story of Greer Farm: A Texas Legacy Greer Farm’s story started over 170 years ago when it began as a cotton farm. Established in 1850, it predates even Daingerfield itself. The farm has been in continuous operation since the first Anglo settlers arrived in this part of Texas. The grand old farmhouse on the property still holds echoes of those early days. Today, the farm spans 252 acres and has evolved into a sustainable farm and ranch. The Gilmore family are proud to carry on the Greer Farm legacy as they continue to run this farm and ranch.
