The Cryer Family Legacy goes back to the 1920’s when our great grandfather, Leon Vernon, purchased and farmed on the land passing it on to his (2) daughters, our aunt Elizabeth and our grandmother, Ardene Vernon who married our grandfather, Thomas Cryer. Ardene and Thomas had 10 children who farmed alongside their mom & dad. After Mr. Cryer's death in the late 1990’s, his son Aulton Cryer decided to move back home to Louisiana from California and re-establish the family farming business. Upon his return he established a new farmers market in the community of Franklinton, The Franklinton Farmers Market with his friend Henry Harrison. Since the early 1990’s Mr. Aulton Cryer continued the legacy of his father and has become a pillar in the community. He provides some of the best tasting, home grown, fresh produce that our customers love. They trust the quality of the produce and the care taken to get it to the communtiy on regular basis. Since his return to Louisiana some of the next generation has decided to join him in getting the food out to the people. The Cryer Family has many farmers markets throughout Louisiana and Mississippi weekly. Locations schedule below.
