The Cordray family has been raising cattle in the Low Country since approximately 1907, started by Joseph H. Cordray. His legacy was continued by his son, Lolace Virgil Cordray, and then by Michael Keith Cordray, who majored in Animal Science and Meat Science at Clemson University. In 2014, they expanded to include on-farm slaughter, ensuring humane handling and processing for their animals and offering custom slaughter services to neighboring farmers.
