Urban GEMS Greens

OSU Urban GEMS is a positive youth development program that uses gardening to teach urban youth about science, nutrition, entrepreneurship, healthy development, and sustainable resource management. All sales proceeds go back into opportunities for inner city youth. We grow a variety of fresh leafy greens and herbs at two indoor farms in Columbus, Ohio. We implement Urban GEMS at Family Missionary Baptist Church, the Millennium Community School, the Urban GEMS Parsons farm, South High School, and at the Ohio State University.
