100% Grass Fed & Finished Pasture Raised Always Corn & Soy Free Antibiotic & Hormone Free GMO Free Humanely Raised Our dairy cows obviously produce their own calves, which are fed milk from their mama. As they get older and start eating grass, they're called a "heifer". They remain a heifer for about 2 years until they're ready to get pregnant and start producing milk. The healthier the soil, the healthier the plants, the healthier the cows, the healthier food for you! This is why we farm regeneratively. To us, that means that the animals fertilize the land with their sweet manure, prepping it for the next season. We also welcome biodiversity in our fields. The more life, the more we know the soil is healthy. Our dairy cows outside as much as the weather allows. They eating fresh grass in the warmer months and dry grass in the colder months. We move them to fresh pasture every day or so, and we do this as much as the weather allows. We love seeing our hens running around and foraging for bugs and seeds and greens. In the winter, when it's too cold, the hens go in the barn. In addition to what they forage, our hens are also given free access to a corn & soy free feed. The eggs are hand collected. They are generally unwashed (unless there's gunk on them that needs to be wiped off). As peeps (baby chicks), they start out in the brooder where we can monitor the temperature. Once they are 3-4 weeks old, they are moved out to the pasture and placed in a portable chicken pen. These broilers (term for meat chickens) are then moved daily to fresh grass. This requires a lot of physical labor, but it's worth it. We don’t use a single piece of equipment, so it is a quiet and stress free move for the broilers. Since chickens require a supplemental feed, we also give them a high quality, corn & soy free feed. We feel this combination of high quality grain, fresh pasture, and humane treatment results in amazing flavor and texture. What comes to your mind when you think of a salad bar..."healthy", "greens'', ''sprouts",''low fat", "high protein"? That’s how we raise beef!We rotate our cattle daily on a fresh paddock with diverse grasses. This allows the cows to have their choice of grass for the day. The end result is meat that ishigher in Omega 3 and 6 fatty acidsandlower in saturated fats, which result in numerous health benefits. There are quite a few benefits for the soil and ecosystem when using MIG ("management intensive grazing"), moving the cows across the meadows, simulating the way bison grazed the western prairies. Benefits like, evenly grazed paddocks, longer rest periods allowing the grass to recover faster, and more drought resistance. With MIG, the cows spread their droppings evenly across the pasture, this in turnincreases microbe activity in our soil. It’s a two fold blessing; first, healing the land, and second, very lean, yet tender meat that is absolutely delicious! Hogs are God given roto-tillers, so why deny them this liberty by putting them on concrete floors in a crowded barn? Instead, we allow the hogs free range of the forest and brushy sections of the farm. There they can graze on wild berries and dig for roots. Unlike cattle, hogs are not a rumen and need a grain supplement. For this we chose to use NON-GMO grain from Sunrise Farmsin Stuarts Draft Va. As can be expected, with top quality care and feed, our pork is high quality! It is juicy and flavorful. I am sure you will not be disappointed with it. They are a standard white breed. We get them as little babies in the spring, and then live outside in the fresh air and sunshine their whole life. They are moved with portable net fencing to fresh pasture as needed, which is usually every few days. Our turkeys forage for lots of plants, seeds, and bugs in the growing pasture. In addition to what they forage, they're given a corn & soy free feed. We harvest turkey every fall, which makes it a very special protein for us. To provide nutrient dense, high quali
I've been farming since I was a boy. I grew up on a small farm in West Virginia, running through the woods and playing with our animals. My family is Mennonite, and we love hard work, especially work in nature. I've been around livestock most of my life, and it didn't take long to fall in love with the lifestyle. In 2008, everything changed. My dad passed away suddenly from a heart attack. I was 15 at the time. My dream of farming seemed far from reality, and our family was left wondering what had happened. Dad was young, seemingly healthy. His death didn't make sense. With a family history of heart problems, we decided to get ourselves tested and started looking at ways to prevent what happened to him. That search led us to food. The more I looked into the food system, the more I was surprised (and honestly, alarmed) by what is put into the food most Americans eat and how much it affects our health. This is a relatively new problem. To find the solution, I just needed to go back in time a bit. 200 years ago, all animals lived outside. All animals ate a biologically appropriate diet. Drugs weren't needed to maintain health. Soil health and regeneration was a top priority. Weird lab-produced additives weren't in everything. Food created health. What has been done to our food supply nowadays!? The final straw for me was when I found out they use carbon dioxide to keep meat looking fresh longer and extend shelf life. It was that exact moment when I knew: it was time to help repair the food industry. I saw an opportunity to improve my personal food supply, as well as provide it to my family and people around us who were looking for a reputable supplier of natural foods. So in 2015, I started Triple E Farms with my two brothers (thus the "Triple" E). Around the same time, Esta and I got married. She jumped right into the farm life with me, and we've been building this together ever since. We began small, with just a few pickup locations. Back then, West Virginia laws didn't allow us to simply sell raw milk, so we operated as a herdshare (our customers technically owned shares of the cows and received milk from their own animals). It was legal, but complicated. One of my brothers dropped out early to pursue other things. For years, it was just me and my brother Phil running things together. We worked hard (and being a farmer, especially a dairy farmer, is a tough gig). The hours are long, the work is physical, and there's no such thing as a day off. But it's worth it. Knowing we're supplying good, clean food to families makes every early morning and late night worthwhile. Over the years, the business grew. What started as a few local pickup locations expanded into more pickup locations and eventually nationwide shipping. And then the laws changed: West Virginia finally allowed us to sell raw milk directly! No more herdshare complications. We could simply sell milk the way it should be sold. We went from one small farm to a collection of small farmers, all working under the same natural standards we believe in. We're not just running a farm anymore. We're building a network of farmers committed to doing things right. In 2025, Phil decided to step away to pursue other opportunities. Now it's me, Esta, and our three kids running the farm and bringing the business into the future. Our kids help out as much as their abilities and time allow. Feeding animals, packing orders, learning the ropes. They're growing up the same way I did --- surrounded by animals, working the land, and understanding where their food comes from. It's a good life, and I'm proud to share it with them. But my vision has grown beyond just our farm. I want to provide education, not only to our customers but to the farming community too. I want to push the natural food movement farther, helping other farmers transition to more sustainable, regenerative practices. Because the more of us doing this work, the better off we all are. My goal is to be a rel
