Kids Bee School invites young explorers to discover the fascinating world of honeybees alongside Farmer Zach, learning how these incredible insects live, work, and help grow the food we eat every day. This outdoor program is designed to be both fun and educational, giving children an engaging, age-appropriate introduction to bees and their vital role in our ecosystem. Participants will dress up in junior bee suits and take part in guided, hands-on activities created especially for kids. They will learn how a hive functions, why pollinators are essential to gardens and farms, and how people can help protect them. With a small class size to ensure a safe, personal experience, this “sweet” event is perfect for children ages 12 and under who are curious about nature, insects, and life on the farm. Space is very limited, so early registration is strongly recommended. Ignite your child’s love for nature with a hands-on exploration into the fascinating world of isopods at our Isopod Class for Kids. Young explorers will get up close with these incredible creatures, also known as rolly-pollies or woodlice, learning how they live, what they eat, and how they protect themselves. Children will discover why isopods are so important to our soil and gardens, helping break down organic matter and keep the earth healthy, all while engaging in fun, age-appropriate science activities. Participants will build their own mini isopod habitats, observe live isopods as they waddle, roll, and explore, and take home their very own isopods to care for and tend. The program is designed to be both educational and entertaining, giving kids a hands-on introduction to invertebrate life, ecological connections, and the small but mighty creatures that keep our gardens thriving.
