Diversified Family Farm
More than a farm — we’re a homegrown community where clean food, old-school skills, and like-minded families come together.
Self-reported practices. This farm has provided information about their practices, but they have not yet been independently verified by Bhumi.

I used to stand in the grocery store, overwhelmed—reading labels, Googling ingredients, wondering if I was really making the best choices for my family. I wantedfood I could trustwithout hidden chemicals, preservatives, or misleading claims. That’s why we builtPorky Pastures. As a homeschooling, homesteading family, we made it our mission to raiseclean, pasture-raised meats—free frompharmaceuticals, GMOs, corn, and soy—so moms like you don’t have to second-guess what’s on your dinner table. Now, we’re not just raising food—we’reteachingothers how to source and produce truly nourishing food for their families. Whether you're here to buy better food or learn how to raise it yourself, you’re in the right place. We didn’t plan on becoming full-time farmers. In 2017, we were living what was supposed to be the dream—Tom had a government job, I ran a busy real estate business, and we had just moved into our forever home. But when it came to food, we felt uneasy. Labels were misleading, and trust was hard to find. I had grown up farming, so I knew whatreal foodwas supposed to be. Tom, on the other hand, had zero experience—but that didn’t stop him from throwing out a wild idea:“Let’s buy a farm.”Abigone. I laughed, but before we knew it, we had traded suburbia for75 acres and a 300-year-old farmhouse. We jumped in, raising animals, growing food, and building a life aroundclean, honest food.By 2021, it was clear—other families wanted the same thing. That’s why we startedPorky Pastures—providingpharma-free, pasture-raised meatsand teaching others how to do the same. Now, we’re here to helpyouskip the guesswork and feed your family with confidence. These mountains have long held a special place in our hearts. After years of enjoying visits, camping trips, and vacations here, we made a bold decision to relocate our entire farm and family to South West Virginia. Whew—what an adventure it turned out to be! The details are intense, but in 2023, we listed our beloved farm, found a buyer, and completed the sale in December. It was an emotional rollercoaster that pushed us to our limits. Now settled, we reflect on our journey with gratitude. South West Virginia feels like home, and the warm welcome and overwhelming support from the community have been truly heartwarming. We are filled with appreciation for this new chapter. Thank you for being part of our story!
