Our Unique Ingredients Include… Our regenerative-farmed local animal ingredients are complimented with certified organic and fair-trade plant ingredients from eco-friendly farms around the world! We use certified biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable packaging wherever possible to contain and ship our products. We try to avoid plastic as much as possible by offering plastic-free alternatives to containers and shipping materials. Unfortunately, some products are still only best distributed using plastic until another option becomes available. We’ve tried cardboard tubes for years before and we (and customers) were thoroughly unimpressed. However, we are always looking for better plastic-free options! Ancient Body Care for the Modern World We use the products we produce and practice what we preach. Our mission is to Feed Your Hair & Skin From The Outside-In®. This is best achieved with wholesome, local, organic, and non-toxic ingredients for a time-honored traditional body care. This is our ancestor’s best kept secret! All ancient cultures relied on naturally raised animal products for their health and well-being, including their beauty care. Our products take a synthetic corporate conglomerate known as the “beauty industry” back to its ancient roots of animal origin. Better self-care starts with high-quality nourishment, so support regenerative local farmers by finding them with our Farmer Directory. The best place to start is at local farmer’s markets, go visit yours and make it a special tradition! Thank you for your support! In 2011, I began making body care formulations for myself, my friends, family, and even pets! But eventually more people outside of my circle wanted the products. I took the leap to work full-time and make it official with the registration of Perma-Earth LLC in 2016. For two years my husband and I put in long hours and non-stop weekends together. We sold our products online straight from our kitchen. We also brought body care products and homestead goods to local farmer’s markets and special events across Southern Indiana. We did this nearly every weekend for years, even bringing our baby with us! But we didn’t make it work until I started a YouTube channelin 2018 and partnered with an affiliate. This led to the first big growth spurt and team additions! With expansion outside of the home needed, Brandon and his father built a Perma-Earth workshop. This 450 square foot space birthed the first location exclusively for Perma-Earth production and online sales. In 2021, we moved Perma-Earth into a 1,600 sq ft retail location in Scottsburg, Indiana. This was fun and crazy while it lasted! In 2026, due to pressures out of our control, we decided to move the shop back home. The workshop is now an 800 sq ft space in our home’s walkout basement (under construction). And this is where we feel most comfortable! As of now, Perma-Earth has only 2 full time employees. Mariah and Ashley have put their hearts and souls into Perma-Earth since the beginning – nearly a decade ago. Our goal is to create the best bath and body micro-business in the world for people and planet. Thank you for learning more about the people who care to make Perma-Earth possible! Mariah is the creative director, main customer service representative, shipping manager, production manager, product developer and formulator, researcher and tester, curator of local ingredients, website developer, graphic designer, photographer/videographer, marketer, social media manager, Human Resources and accounting oversight, budgeting, plus anything else the business needs. Mariah basically makes sure all things are running smoothly for Perma-Earth! She has her hands full, but strives to develop Perma-Earth in ways that align with the mission. Mariah is married with 2 children and lives in the country. She and her husband like to cook with fresh, local ingredients. She loves her husband’s latest hunting/fishing harvests, and growing their own food w
