Mt. View Orchards is a 50-acre apple and pear farm nestled just north of Mt. Hood in the quaint town of Parkdale, Oregon. For over fifty years, our family has raised delicious, top-grade, environmentally sustainable fruit, establishing Mt. View as an important fruit grower in the Hood River Valley and Columbia Gorge region. We are 3 generations strong caring deeply about growing fresh fruit for our community. When you visit Mt. Mt View Weddings offers a one-of-a-kind wedding venue in the Hood River Valley—the Orchard Meadow. Framed by a stunning view of Mount Hood and surrounded by beautiful apple and pear trees, our farm is a truly magnificent site for your big day. The venue features a groomed lawn and expansive pavilion with artistic lighting, which accommodate up to 160 guests. A long-time cider lover, I have never been satisfied with ciders that are overly sweet and artificial. I wanted to make cider the way my great-grandparents would have enjoyed in back in the motherland. This inspired my quest to learn how to make an additive-free cider that tasted like apples, which inspired Golden Row Hard Cider. In keeping with our mission of creating a restorative place for folks to come and be refreshed in the heart of our orchard, Katrina Mc Alexander planted a vineyard in 2016 and in May opened the Grateful Vineyards Tasting Room. We are located 1 hour east of Portland and 15min South of Hood River in the beautiful Hood River Valley. From Hood River take HWY 35 south towards Mt Hood and follow the signs to Mt View Orchards.
