Established in 1984, Littledale is located on 170 acres in Southwest Wisconsin where the rolling hills provide an ideal home for our thrifty sheep. We specialize in high-quality purebred British Hill Sheep — North Country Cheviot and Scottish Blackface — one of very few farms in North America dedicated to these heritage hill breeds. Both Scottish Blackface and North Country Cheviot sheep are hill breeds, hardy and thriving on simple feed — they are easy keepers! Our sheep are maintained on pasture year-round with rotational grazing and fed a grass/clover hay mixture during winter. No medicated feed, no chemical treatments. We sell market lamb by the whole or half, custom-cut at Richland Locker to your specifications. Our crossbred lambs — Scotch and Cheviot Mule ewes bred to Suffolk terminal sires — are specially selected for tender, tasty flavor matching Scottish and English lamb standards. We also offer registered purebred breeding stock, raw wool fleeces, Scottish Blackface horns for stickmaking, and North Country Cheviot and Scottish Blackface semen. Our flock of 104 ewes and 23 rams is Certified Scrapie Free and footrot free, with pedigrees of at least three generations. Graham was evacuated to his Uncle Harry's farm in Lancashire, England during WWII, which planted his love for sheep herding. Our first Border Collie was imported from the Littledale area of Lancashire in 1979 — and that's where the farm gets its name. We also offer a Bed & Breakfast mid-May through mid-October.
