I have always found peace, joy, and rejuvenation in nature and by being outdoors. As a child, I would spend countless hours in the woods − exploring, imagining, foraging...wild blackberries were a personal favorite. My journey began in the hardwood forest of the Northeastern U.S. Later, when I lived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, I became obsessed with pollinators. I created a backyard butterfly sanctuary filled with host and larval tropical plants (zone 10) that attracted the most beautiful flutterers. After relocating to the North Georgia mountains, I discovered an entirely new world of plants. I became a 'Master Gardener' − completing a training and volunteer experience that brought my knowledge to a new level. Thus, I discovered so much about plants that thrive in my new home, Zone 7B (or is it 8A now?). It was enough... In 2020 everything changed for everyone. For me, focus turned from ornamentals to plants for food and medicine. For one thing, I planted my first-ever vegetable garden − with mixed success. I learned preservation techniques including dehydrating, canning and formenting techniques. Having a well-stocked pantry, and knowing how to find sources of nutrition and medicine became critically important. My faith in God never wavered though Covid. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and in Him I put my trust. He is my hope for eternity. I know that this life is not the end game, but still it was important to me to continue on the path His light illuminated regardless of how narrow. Of course, it was natural for me to become totally obsessed with the limitless capabilities of the plants God created for us. It's a blessing to continue my journey with Herb & Vine Healing Plants. It is exciting to share my passion and to help others discover the magical, and often hidden nature of the plants they know, and introduce new ones. Join meon the less trodden path, and lets discover its magic together,
