Headwater Hills offers a limited number of raw milk herd shares from their small Nubian goat herd. Goats are pasture raised with daily hands-on care, clean housing, and a strong focus on animal health and milk quality. Their herd care practices:Small, non-commercial herd Nubian goats only Calm, clean milking environment Pasture access with free-choice hay and balanced minerals Regular health monitoring and attentive herd management Careful milk handling from barn to fridge Herd share options:Whole share One-time herd share fee: $40 (establishes co-ownership in the herd)Monthly boarding & care fee: $80 during the milking season Milk allocation: Approximately 1 gallon of raw goat milk per week, averaged over the season Half share One-time herd share fee: $20 (establishes partial co-ownership in the herd)Monthly boarding & care fee: $40 during the milking season Milk allocation: Approximately ½ gallon of raw goat milk per week, averaged over the season As a herd share member, you legally own a portion of the herd and receive milk from your animals.
