Self-reported practices. This farm has provided information about their practices, but they have not yet been independently verified by Bhumi.
Hayden Flour Mills is devoted to stone milling heritage and ancient grains, believing they are delicious, better for you, and the environment. They focus on reviving forgotten native grains in the Arizona desert.
In 2009, Emma Zimmerman's father, Jeff, had the idea to restart a historic flour mill in Tempe, Arizona. Emma left her PhD program to run what became Hayden Flour Mills. Over the last decade, they have revived historic and forgotten grains, restored old mills, and grown their crop from 30 to over 400 acres, adopting practices that produce delicious and healthy products for people and the planet.
