Harmony Grove Farm

Harmony Grove Farm is a small, one-family farm with a history dating back to the mid-1800s when Monty Hoffman's great-great grandfather started it. The farm embraces a peaceful lifestyle and primarily grows lettuce and salad greens in pristine greenhouses, using natural hydroponics. Monty and Akemi Hoffman continue the family tradition, striving to produce fresh and nutritious food for their customers, with their kids occasionally helping out on the farm. The new greenhouse, built in spring 2013, allows for constant harvesting with 4,100 spots, even in winter, by using wood, propane, and anthracite coal for heating and IPM for pest control. Their produce includes butterhead bibb, sweet crisp, lollo red butterleaf, green oakleaf, heirloom black seeded simpson, spinach, young kale, rainbow swiss chard, microgreens, pea shoots, and bok choy. All produce is grown using all natural hydroponics in clean greenhouse operations, with no harmful chemicals or pesticides, and is non-GMO, fresh, and local. They also mention that they grow live lettuce, salad greens, strawberries, heirloom tomatoes, and sprouts. They use a looped water system for hydroponics, which is a clean system using 100% pure minerals. They use beneficial insects like ladybugs for IPM.
