Here is a new grassroots system for holding elections on video that is totally incorruptible, and totally believable. It’s also self-organizing, so the people can hold elections at any time, without government involvement. Democracy really needs a backup system like this, where a majority of the people assembles in the streets, and votes-out their entire elected government and un-elected bureaucracy all at once. And isn’t this unquestionably a right of free people everywhere? All voters attach a home-printed paper-ballot to their chest. These chest ballots will have name, ID info, and who or what they are voting for. Each voting district, or “Nome” of 250 voters will walk in two side-by-side lines of 125 people that loop. Everyone has their camera out, held up to their shoulder as they walk their loop. And everyone video records the faces & paper ballots of the other people in their Nome’s voting loop as they walk past each other. In this way, each group of 250 people has up to 250 video records of how everyone voted. They also witness the vote live. So it will be impossible to cheat on the vote count. It will also be easy to organize a vote because everyone prints or hand-writes their own ballot. It will also cost nothing to have an election. Also, for voter safety, it will be a felony to assemble these videos, or share them, or ask to see them. So there will be some degree of voter privacy. How to get all campaign money and out of our elections A nation of 250-million voters will elect one part-time “Sub-Senator” per 250 voters. So there will be around 1-million part-time Sub-Senators. Then these 1-year Sub-Senators will meet in groups of 200 and elect their best 10% to a full-time, 100,000-man Main-Senate that makes all the laws and also serves for 1-year full time. In both elections, there will simply be no role for campaign money. This is because money isn’t needed talk with the other 249 neighbors in a Nome, or to talk with the other 199 Sub-Senators in a “Centi-Nome” when they elect “Main-Senators”. Using small groups like this is needed so the democracy can quickly self-assemble and quickly elect leaders. But there are many other advantages — like how elections will be based on personal acquaintance. The voters will know their Sub-Senator from their neighborhoods. And the Sub-Senators will know each other from working together in their Sub-Senate groups. So people will get not get elected based campaign donations, expensive campaign ads, or coverage by the corrupt media, They will get elected based on personal acquaintance. 7-days to elect a new government The hard part about instituting a new government is not getting rid of the old leadership. That part is easy. The hard part is rapidly electing new honest people to replace them. The new voting system uses small election groups of 250,  so voters can evaluate Sub-Senate candidates in 3-days, and Main-Senate candidates in 3-more days. Thus the new democracy can self-assemble a new democracy in less than 8-days. But there are many other advantages to doing this: like how elections will be based on personal acquaintance. Voters will know their 1:250 Sub-Senator from their neighborhood. And then later, the Sub-Senators will know each other from working together in their Sub-Senate groups of 200. So all our lawmakers are elected based on either community acquaintance, or working together in the Sub-Senate, not based media coverage, or campaign money. So while we will ban campaign money, there will simply be no need for it anyway. To be clear, the new voting system elects a new government in less than 8-days from when a majority has been mustered. Also, the proposed new government doesn’t come to power until the both the Sub-Senate and the Main-Senate elect new leaders. So there will be no dangerous anarchy period.
