Bernadette Pelissier and Vann Bennett bought the farm in 2016 for the purpose of promoting biodiversity, community, and human health through sustainable family farming. The farm comprises 93 acres of rolling hills, streams and fields located in the Roanoke River watershed, and is protected by a farm conservation easement managed by Orange County, NC. Cedar Grove Blueberries ismanaged in collaboration with Bernadette’s son and daughter Lyndon Smith and Kether Smith, who are the founders of the adjacent business Botanist and Barrelcidery. Botanist and Barrel creates farm fermented cider and wine and operates a tasting room at the farm entrance..
