We’re Simon & Caitlin—first generation Americans and first generation farmers—giving it our all to build a more resilient local food system. Our focus is sustainable and regenerative farming, making local food more accessible, and celebrating diversity through culturally relevant foods. Three months after tying the knot, we seized a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lease and operate Cedar Field Farm. This beautiful, previously organic-certified market garden farm, tucked away among the trees just 30 minutes from home, became a sanctuary and the perfect entry to build a farm business together. Simon has always had a deep passion for growing food. After working for several controlled environment agriculture companies, he’s found true purpose in regenerative agriculture and getting his hands in the dirt. Outside of farming he is a conservation specialist with The Nature Conservancy. Caitlin has always had a calling to feed people. As our first season started to take off she said goodbye to corporate life and has been focusing her marketing efforst on growing the farm business. What keeps her going? Hearing how much better customers feel after eating a diversity of local fruits and veggies! Simmy the pug is living the dream as our official taste tester and quality control manager! We’re beyond humbled to feed you the best of what Michigan has to offer! No compost, no crops! Healthy soil produces healthy plants and more nutrient-dense food. We follow regenerative practices: Low-tillto retain soil structure Crop diversityto minimize pest pressure Cover croppingfor carbon and nitrogen sequestration, organic material, and soil structure No spray- we will NEVER spray harmful synthetic herbicides, insecticides, or fungicides We cultivate ¾ of an acre using our hands and hand tools, no industrial equipment We aim to feed the communities we live in and are part of, and reduce reliance on corporate food that prioritize profits over everything. We work with other local Michigan farms, prioritizing organic and regenerative practices, to bring you the best of the seasons. Supporting local agriculture has the power to change the world. We do our best to minimize our environmental impact and protect the planet we call home. This comes in the form of: Recycleable packaging where possible
