I am a fourth-generation farmer, proud to carry on the Pilson family legacy. Our land has been in the family for three generations, starting with my grandfather, Lee A. Pilson, who farmed tobacco and later added sweet potatoes. Many of the old tobacco curing barns still stand on the property today. My father, Chester Vince Pilson, followed in his footsteps, transforming the farm into a successful business known for its quality. His motto, “If you have the best, it sells itself,” still guides me today. While my father built his name on sweet potatoes and tobacco, I’ve transitioned the farm to focus solely on fruits and vegetables. I’m honored to continue the tradition and ensure the Pilson name thrives for future generations.— Cliff Pilson, Fourth-Generation Farmer
