Moore-Webb-Holmes Plantation is one of Alabama's last active plantations, continuously owned by the same family since the early 1800s. It offers tours of its historic site, showcasing original buildings and farm equipment.
William "the wagon maker" Moore came from South Carolina to Alabama in 1819, homesteading 80 acres that grew into thousands. The farm has been in the same family since the early 1800s, with Charles Holmes, a sixth-generation descendant, now leading its operation with his wife Jenny Cooper Holmes and their three sons, William, Webb, and Cooper.
