From our home to yours, Dunsmore Honey produces flavorful honey in the rugged, picturesque Texas Hill Country. The hives are located at the Dunsmore family homestead, along the eastern edge of Edward's Plateau, in New Braunfels, TX. Our bees forage on wild, native plants in rural woodland, surrounded by large meadows of wildflowers and thickets of oak, ashe juniper (mountain cedar), and elm trees. The diversity of flowering plants in our area is truly astounding. We use natural beekeeping methods to keep our colonies healthy and never use chemical treatments in our apiary. Our raw honey is hand harvested and hand processed to retain its natural health benefits. At Dunsmore Honey, we believe that our honey is more than a simple sweetener; it is a medicinal food. The sweet, complex taste of this “liquid gold” is a wonderful treat year-round and many of our customers use it to help alleviate seasonal allergies and other ailments (for both humans and pets). You can buy our honey and other homegrown and homeade products at our online shop or at local farmers markets that we attend. Thank you! No more markets are scheduled for the 2025 honey harvest season. Check back with us ~July 2026 or subscribe to our newsletter below. Thank you to everyone who supported us and cheered us along. We hope to see you again at the markets in 2026.

Their bees forage on wild, native plants in rural woodland, surrounded by large meadows of wildflowers and thickets of oak, ashe juniper (mountain cedar), and elm trees. The diversity of flowering plants in their area is truly astounding. Their honey can have a different color, aroma, taste, flavor, and texture each time they harvest, depending on the plants abundant and preferred by the bees during nectar flow, as well as the sun, wind, rainfall, temperature, minerals, soil, and soil pH. They have identified several different kinds of herbaceous plants, grasses, shrubs, and trees within their bees’ forage zone. Their bees may collect nectar, honeydew, pollen, and propolis from a large variety of plants to make a rich and complex honey. They are located one hour between both San Antonio and Austin, west of IH-35, by the intersection of Pur
