Mixed Livestock Farm
Family Owned. Committed to Quality.
Stephen began Zanzibar Cattle Co. in 2008 to fill the need for replacement cattle. In 2013 we bought our ranch and moved out of Keller, Tx to Sunset, TX soon after. Our grass-fed cattle business began in 2015 at the gas station in the small town near our Texas ranch. One afternoon, Stephen was approached by an older gentleman asking for a little help hauling his calves to the sale barn. Stephen agreed and followed the gentleman to his ranch.
Our beef is processed in USDA Federally Inspected Facility. Each carcass hangs for 48 hours in acarefully controlled environment with precise temperature and humidity levels. In addition to an increase in tenderness, the flavor of the beef is altered during the wet aging process from a combination of enzyme breakdown, and oxidation. We know that when we take a steer to harvest, we will get our beef back. At the end of the day, we want our customers to know with certainty where their beef is coming from and how it was raised. Our goal is to provide families with natural, quality beef at affordable prices. Our program allows you to stock your freezers with a variety of cuts while saving time and money. Not grown in small pens Never fed any feed additives or ionophores Finished on grain in the pasture the final 150 to 200 days before harvest
