Polka Dotted Farm is located in Anna, Texas. We live and work on our 10 acres of gorgeous land just north of DFW. We have about 2 acres ready for flowers this year and plan on expanding to several more in the next few years. Our whole family has fallen in love with flowers! Here are the key players on our farm: I am our main farmer here at Polka Dotted Farm. My love of flowers started at a young age. My dad was in horticultural marketing when I was a little girl, so we always had plants and flowers around. One of my fondest memories was one Christmas we had a house full of poinsettias, every open space was covered and it was magical as I weaved through the sea of red and pink. When I look back, many of my memories have flowers associated with them. Flowers were a part of holidays, dances and prom, and weddings. Flowers make a perfect addition to any table, they are the perfect gift for the person who has everything, and they express emotions that are sometimes hard to voice. People’s faces just light up when receiving flowers, who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by them all the time! This farm is a dream come true. I am so excited to be able to bring beautiful fresh flowers to my community. Once you have enjoyed local flowers, you will be hooked. Brandon is my right hand man. Currently he is an engineer, but in his time off he does so much around the farm. He is our resident tech guru, plus he is an amazing carpenter, mechanic, and all around fixer of everything. I wouldn’t have this farm without Brandon, and I am grateful he is my partner in this amazing dream. These three beautiful girls are where we get our inspiration! They are the best helpers in the fields and love to run through the flowers. These days my oldest two are in school, so the youngest curly headed sister is my constant companion. The girls take care of their own chicken flock, so be looking for farm fresh eggs from them soon. My dad Dan, or Pappy as he is affectionately called by his grandgirls, is a favorite member of our family. He has years of experience in horticultural marketing, as well as years spent working in a nursery, so he offers so much to our farm. Want to enjoy some of our flowers? We are excited to be joining a new market this year! We will have flowers at the Melissa Farmers Market this spring. Watch for announcements this spring for other places to pick up blooms.
