Joseph Fields Farm, spanning 50 acres on John's Island, is a sanctuary of Gullah-Geechee heritage. Joseph Fields, a third-generation farmer, took over the operation in 1973, continuing a legacy of hard work and land stewardship established by Robert Sr. and Nancy Fields. The farm transitioned to organic practices over a decade ago in response to community demand for chemical-free food.
