You want to know the animals were cared for. Real Food Starts With Real Care We started this farm because we were asking the same questions you are. Real food shouldn’t be complicated. It should begrown and raised naturally, without shortcuts. Just like we raise our kids. Mc Green Acres is a family run farm. It's woman owned by two sisters, Beverly and Rebecca. Their husbands, mom, and kids all have parts to play in making it work. It all started when Rebecca brought home a Jersey cow named Mindy. Her oldest daughter was just one, and Rebecca wanted her family to have the healthiest milk possible— straight from their own cow. From there, the farm grew. There were: We home-school our kids. They learn and we live by the idea that ourkids should know what real food looks like— from pasture to plate. Allan is the keeper of the flocks and the builder behind the scenes. He tends every chicken, turkey, goose, and pig on the farm and never hesitates to get his hands dirty when something needs fixing or building. From pig shelters and bunk beds to electrical lines, water systems, and even the trucks that keep us moving, he makes sure everything works the way it should. As the head of technology at Mc Green Acres, he also dreams up tools like Wi Fi water gauges and smart camera systems that make life on the farm run smarter. His mix of grit, ingenuity, and care is a driving force in how our farm grows and improves. Beverly is the one who keeps our garden growing strong and our farm running smoothly. She raises hundreds of tomato starts each year and is always experimenting with new plants like figs, all while working hard to keep pests, chemicals, and plastics out of the garden. Her love of good food, healthy soil, and bringing organization to the chaos is a big part of what makes the farm flourish. Rebecca oversees all things dairy at Mc Green Acres, from daily milking and pasture moves to calving and herd health. She ensures the herd thrives on non-GMO feed and no-spray hay, and she carefully selects A2/A2 milkers for the health of both animals and members. Her veterinary experience and education in nutritional practices set the standard for the farm’s dairy operations. Opal is our mama and the one who brought beekeeping into the family. Between helping raise the kids and masterminding anything handy, she tends the hives and makes sure we have raw honey on hand. Her steady presence and practical know-how are a big part of what keeps the farm grounded and growing.
