Stony Ridge Farms

Stony Ridge Farms is the home of Bernie and Debbie Antes, a small husband and wife venture. They love rural living and hope to do their small part in helping to preserve this way of life. They retired from Cottin's Hardware Farmers Market in the fall of 2023 after 16 years, and now offer their goods directly from the farm. Their grand daughters also participate by offering their own homemade and handmade products in the farm store during "Holiday Open Houses" and as a permanent vendor for bath products. The farm also hosts Farm to Table Events in their restored early 1900's barn, with the last mentioned event being in September 2018. They have been operating since at least 2007, based on their 16 years at Cottin's Farmers Market until 2023. Debbie's dad and niece raise bees for the honey they offer. The farm is located in the picturesque rolling hills of Jefferson County, near McLouth, Kansas. They have a nice sized orchard with wonderful tree, bush and vine fruits, and occasionally vegetables. Their native grassland also supplies a grand assortment of native wildflowers and grasses, which also feed their beef and chickens. They use quality ingredients in their jams and baking, ensuring freshness and deliciousness. They also offer "mindful" baked goods that are gluten-free, and often grain-free, sugar-free, low carb, and diabetic friendly, though made in the same kitchen as traditional baking. They also offer decorating services for holidays or special events, using existing elements, creating new ones, or a combination of both.
