Cattle Ranch
Our Family Farm
Our cows are pasture-raised and grass-fed, but they are more than that. They are a critical part of our calling to stewardship – practicing regenerative agriculture, welcoming the community, and sharing what we learn. As our cows graze and change pastures, they replenish the soil. Rotational grazing allows roots to grow deep, a variety of forages to prosper, and moisture capacity to improve. We want to reconnect consumers with the farm. Come visit! The farm has a large "Barn" with accommodations, which is available for youth or other ministry groups. We are not a historic farm family. We are newbies but learning. Learning that the small, family farm, when operated with traditional practices, is not financially sustainable. We are learning how to make it financially viable. We want to share what we learn in hopes that we can help restore financial vitality to family farms in Mississippi. Persimmon Ridge Family Farm is a 600+/- contiguous acre property located in Neshoba County, Mississippi, approximately 70 miles northeast of Jackson, Mississippi. Approximately 150 acres are pasture, mostly fenced. Thirty acres are cutover and the balance is in mixed pine/hardwood or planted pine with several creeks and ponds on the property plus two water wells. There are three hay barns and a stable/implement building. The owner has a small house on the property as well as a large “Barn” which is often used by youth groups for retreats. Establish an economically sustainable, site-appropriate, vertically integrated agricultural enterprise through the use of regenerative agricultural practices. Develop strong relationships between consumer and farmer. Demonstrate robust practices and economic vigor to other farmers. Help equip others to do the same. Be a blessing to neighbors and a faithful testimony of God’s goodness. Home About Products Education Events & Stay Contact Shop
