EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT!!!!! NEW CALF AT CLEVENGER'S FARM!!!!! This is me , and my sister Glori feeding my calf Swirl. Swirl is the newest addition to our farm. One our our cows had twins and and the cow and the other calf walked off and left Swirl behind so now I get to take care of it!! I bottle feed Swirl 2 times a day and he drinks half a gallon a feeding, so he drinks 1 gallon of milk a day. This picture was taken when he was 2 days old and did not eat to well. Now he is 5 days old and when i go out to feed him,he practicly attacks me!!
The Clevenger Family Farm and Bakery started in 2012, with Grace (age 11 at the time) describing a normal day on the farm, including chores, baking, and attending farmer's markets. The family works together to preserve their heritage, faith, family, and farming life. They have since added a Jersey cow named ButterCup to their farm for milk, cream, and butter production. They also sell free-range chicken eggs and all-natural beef and pork, in addition to their baked goods and preserves. The farm also utilizes a fodder system for their animals, including chickens. The family attends farmer's markets on Saturdays and Wednesdays at Overland Park. The farm is a family operation, with members like Glori, Grace, and Owen involved in daily tasks and future plans.
