Chris Kyger, the farm manager, welcomes visitors to C&C Farms. They have been raising cattle, pigs, chickens, and turkeys for many years, continuously learning and growing. Their passion is to raise animals in the most natural and healthy ways possible, on pasture in a low-stress environment, believing this is how nature intended. The farm also continues the tradition of pasture-raising heritage hogs, similar to how farmers did long ago by allowing them to forage in woodlots and processing them in the fall for winter sustenance. They also raise a small herd of cattle for retail beef and yearling sales, supplementing their feed during winter months for humane reasons. Their adult cows never leave the farm until processing, avoiding feedlots, hormone implants, or antibiotics. They are a family farm dedicated to healthy, naturally raised animals and quality meat for their customers. They are raising 250 turkeys in 2021 and have around 150 free-ranging laying hens producing about 30 dozen eggs per week. They raise meat chickens during the Spring and Fall, with spring batches processed in late June and fall batches in October. They aim to produce the best tasting chicken at a reasonable price of $3.99 per pound. They also sell yearling calves, with sales traditionally occurring in September, depending on cow production. They have a mix of Beefmaster, Hereford, and Angus lines in their cattle herd. They are currently looking for 2 new egg customers as they have 4 extra dozen per week. They process their hogs at an Animal Welfare Certified and USDA certified facility, emphasizing animal welfare for better meat and a happier farm. They also mention that their beef does not meet the "grass-fed" definition as they supplement with feed during winter months to maintain healthy conditions when green grass is unavailable, considering it safer and more humane. They offer free local delivery for their products, with prices per pound including butchering and delivery fees, removing
