Tulsa Hills Youth Ranch exists to bring healing to the brains of traumatized youth and hope to their caregivers. They provide a welcoming place for kids to feel loved, accepted, and heard through a purposeful relationship with a mentor in an agrarian setting, often alongside a rescue horse.
Tulsa Hills Youth Ranch began in May of 2014 with one 17-year-old boy. Over ten years, it has grown into a thriving community serving up to 60 youth every week, providing a place of growth, love, and dedication. The ranch aims to help at-risk youth turn difficult pasts into positive futures in an agrarian setting, often alongside rescue horses, to renew hope, healing, and trust for each person served through the ranch. They are a non-profit organization with 501c3 status and rely on donations and volunteers to offer mentoring sessions at no cost to caregivers. The approximate program cost per youth served is currently $2500 per year. They accept financial donations via their website, mail, or physical in-kind donations. They also have ongoing volunteer needs for mentors, horse care, gardening, woodworking, arts and crafts, farm beautification, and facility maintenance. They are located at 5744 W Canyon Rd.
