Favorite thing to eat at the market:My favorite thing to eat at the market is peaches. Growing up in central Texas we waited every year for peaches to arrive and I still get super excited to see them at the market for the first time each year. Second favorite thing is okra – I love it cooked on the grill. Fun Fact:I love to camp and hike. My husband and I spent six weeks traveling the country and camping (in a tent!) visiting a lot of state and national parks. It was truly an unforgettable experience. Since then we’ve upgraded our shelter to our ’97 Casita trailer and love to visit all the awesome state parks nearby. Favorite thing to eat at the market:Jams & anything pickled! My favorite non-food item is flowers. I love taking them home & creating my own arrangement. Fun Fact:When I was younger, I was a member of the Save the Manatee Club and adopted 2 manatees: Betsy & Flash. Favorite thing to eat at the market:Some of my favorite purchases at the market are root veggies, fresh herbs, goat cheese, fresh-squeezed juice, and floral bouquets. Anything fresh is best! Fun Fact:I am an artist. I love to paint. I love to create. Acrylic and watercolors are my best forms of medium. I am planning to make paint colors using items from my garden this fall. Favorite thing to eat at the market:I truthfully love to eat everything, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be blackberries and root vegetables! Fun Fact:I make my own yogurt! It’s super easy and fun. Creating anything yourself is a wonderful experience. Favorite thing to eat at the market:Cheese and fruit – luckily these two pair well! Bonus points if there’s honey involved. Fun Fact:I love doing yoga and have been practicing for over 10 years! I hope to one day pursue my yoga teacher certification and travel to teach classes around the world. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR Favorite thing to eat at the market:Oyster mushrooms and all types of squash! They taste so much better than anything I could get at the grocery store. Fun Fact:I'm a long distance runner. The half marathon (13.1 miles) is my favorite distance, and I've run half marathons in several national parks (Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Zion, and Glacier) – the next one on my list is Yosemite! Favorite thing to eat at the market:My favorite thing to eat at the market is raw okra as I am buzzing around. The farmers don’t seem to mind when I pick one up as a snack… Fun Fact:I am an avid bird watcher and a scuba diver.
